SECO at embedded world 2022

Data has quickly become a crucial component to businesses’ success. But they can’t wait to have their data processed and analyzed in the cloud. They need a solution that will provide access to data in real time, by analyzing the right information at the edge and sending it to the cloud. That’s why SECO, an IoT solution developer, developed Clea—an AIoT solution based on Intel® processors that can be customized to every customer's needs.

Actually we provide to the market solution that is Clea. Clea is very flexible solution, is dedicated for embedded application to define in a fast way, an application that start from the field to take the data from different kind of sensor for different platform. Take the data, analyze on the Edge and transport this data in the cloud with a cloud solution that is based on Kubernetes and microservices, that is very flexible, is cloud agnostic and give the opportunity to develop on the cloud side application that is dedicated or different application for different vertical and is directing the customer or the developer have the opportunity to develop the application tanks, a set of tools that are library for cloud development and for the Edge SDK that can be applied on different platform, on different devices to interface this devices with data and application.

This is an important aspect because we know very well the hardware part, we know the capacity of the hardware and we work together with our customer to define the right solution for different application. There are not really dedicated specific hardware for general, for general hardware, for AI. There are specific project where we can define the right solution of hardware. Thanks also to the Intel solution we have the possibility to scale up from different processor with different potentiality, different functionality. We start from processor that have very low consumption like five watts to process that have the possibility to analyze a large amount of data to process AI algorithm on the Edge in different way.

For high performance computing we have the possibility to analyze a big quantity of data. Then we have a solution for low power consumption like Atom solution that give the possibility to have a flexible Edge device that can analyze the data from sensor, from cameras and send only the right information to the Cloud. Saving also the aspect of data transmission from Edge to Cloud.

Intel technology as I mentioned have this good aspect to have large possibility, large set of processor that can give us the opportunity to serve different kind of customers. This is very important for us because we are a company on the method market where customer have different needs. In this case there are the possibility to have a solution.

For example, this one Laguna that have FUZA possibility for industrial application, very high performance, very secure solutions. To go with other solution that have more flexibility, the possibility to add many display, he possibility to analyze a big quantity of data with all the series of Tiger Lake, Alder Lake, with the flexibility to use a different kind of processor. iSeries, Celeron, etc.

Then we go with the power processor for more specific embedded solution with small form factor, with very high flexibility. We work with open standard like SMARC that give these also flexibility to our customer to implement this solution directly on their own interface that can be cross tracked specifically and adopt the SMARC solution for application. Otherwise we have a solution based on Intel processor. There are single board computer mainly is the Atom, Celeron, Pentium, low power solution that give the opportunity to integrate this solution in vending machine or in healthcare solutions or automotive, for automatic applications.

Developer are fundamental. For our solution we have created also from the hardware side and the software side a set kit, kits that can help developer to be readily, mandatory to test research. We have hardware kits that is also for a common DC solution for smart solution, for single board solution where is a complete solution based with carrier that we can work with all the IOs with the possibility to develop many kind of application. We have also for hardware side solution that is a family of products that is called you Yudu boards that is like open suites hardware that can facilitate developer to have, to buy a single product on our store, on our Yudu store or otherwise also Amazon. You buy one board you can develop with this board and then you can access to the industrial one alternative solution.

On the other end for software aspect is very important. We give a set of tools that are open source, like the SDK for Microsoft processor, for Linux, for Android, for other OS that are running on the board and also the access to our Clea platform or to develop immediately application also to create a proof of concept.

Yes, we have here the method word, we have prepare a set of demos that can give to the visitor the opportunity to understand what are the potentiality of our solution Intel processor plus Clea platform.

We have many demos, more oriented on AI application where AI is processed on the Edge directly on the GPU that is very, that have very high performance on inference processing the Intel GPU.

We have a solution for people tracking and another solution that is based for vending machine that analyze the face, recognize gender age of the person, recognize also the expression. All these information are ticked together using another AI model that thanks to this information give a choice of beverage that are appropriate to the person that are in front of the, of the vending machine.
