SD-WAN vs. Traditional WAN: What Are The Key Differences?

Innovation and technological advances are accelerating the adoption of software-defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN) on a variety of customer premise equipment (CPE) devices due to the number of benefits it presents. It is currently one of the most commonly deployed SDN applications used in WAN connections.

In traditional WAN, users are required to lease expensive Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) circuits to secure their private network, which can be impractical due to their complexity for untrained staff and prohibitive cost structure.
